Oooookay, I've got absolutely no idea of what category to put this in. Advice welcome if available.
We have basics of graphic design -course at school, and this was made for the traditional "design a wine bottle etiquette for a fictional wine"-assignment that I think every school has as mandatory thing. The actual final design has stuff like "red wine", alcohol% and stuff in it, but I like this design the way it is in here, it doesn't need that context to be pretty, really. I like it.
One of my first times ever fightingbattling using vectors, and as a result it took me AGES to tweak. That swirly thingy was not really co-operative. Nor was the star... But it was educational!
(In the assignment we were told to use a song of our choosing as the base on which to build the design. I don't know if it actually shows anywhere other than the text, but I used Carpe Noctem by E Nomine. Latin sounds cool.)
Wanted to share it just in case I never see it again after the course ends.
But this design could be useful as a few things. Wine label, yes... I actually figured book cover before I clicked. ^^
Does Carpe Noctem mean "Seize the night"? 8D
