And my last submission of the year 2007 is... ... Pokémon.

Well, I seldomly draw any fanart at all. Very, very seldomly, and I scan and upload them even more seldomly, so you can't see much fan art from me. (except when I draw my friends' characters for my friends, but that's different and usually they ask for it) I think this could actually be my first one here in DA, unless I've put something in wrong cathegory. Fan art isn't my thing.

But I have to admit, that the Pokémon series for the Gameboys are some of the best games ever to exist. These two (recognise them, do ya?) are my best and the most badass pokemons I've ever got, and I usually try to hunt and catch them no matter what it takes when I play the games (I have Gameboy Advance emulator installed in my USB memory stick, and almost all the Pokémon games there is outcluding the new ones for DS).

The left one is Samu, my abra/kadabra, with it's powerful psychic moves. Only thing I don't like about it is that it must be traded if you want it to evolve into it's final stage. Since I'm playing with emulator I can't get it to evolve into Alakazam. (By the way, in my country Samu is considered a male name, but in my Emerald version load she's actually female. I just didn't want to change the name when all my previous abras and kadabras have had it.)

And on the right you can see my male nido (nidorino in here, though in my Yellow -currently most active- version load he's already nidoking. Moonstones are nice, aren't they?). He is my best pokémon ever, my tank, usually at least ten levels higher than any of my opponents, and he has the marvellous ability to crush any enemy (or even big bunch of enemies) it sees without getting beaten at all. ^^ Yeah, and his name is Pinku-sama. Yup. When we (me and my brother) played the games for the first time we picked our pokemons' names by just randomly browsing through Japanese dictionary (except our zubat, which is Alucard), and it has been Pinku-sama ever since. Pinku-sama is a legend. Yup. Okay, I'll shut up.

I like to work with pencils only for I can play freely with different tones, but on the other hand my scanner (like any other scanner as far as I know) doesn't like the pencilwork, specially the lighter tones. My reference was also close to unexisting (for Pinku-sama, it was only a tiny 0,5x0,5 cm dusty, scratched and worn out picture in the corner of my very old trading card game card of Nidoking. Ironically Nidorino is the only one of the nido family which I don't have card of. If one of you has it and would be willing to part with it, I might be interested) so some things might be off, but I still like this. My own interpretation of these two. ^^

Happy (western) new year for everyone! ^^

Ikävää, miulla on niitä pelikortteja nelisen sataa, eikä niistä silti löydy kaikkia suosikkejani. (Ja suurimman suosikkini menin hukkaamaan, ikivanhan Mitsuhiro Aritan piirtämän Cubonen joskus niiltä muinaishistorian aikakausilta kun se TV-sarja alun perin alkoi täällä Suomessa)

Öh, tarkoitatko sen kämmeniä vai käsivarsia? Miulla oli pari varsin tyyliteltyä pelikorttia mallina, joten perustin tulkintani niille. ^^; Vooooivathan ne isot ollakin, juu.

...nelisensataa. Omg, kunnioitettava määrä.
Raichu on legenda, kuten ancient Mewkin.

Jaja... tarkoitin sen käsivarsia. Tyylitellyt pelikortit tosin ovat varmaan varsin epämääräisiä malleja - tai sitten pelikorteissa vähintään on ihme asennot, joista ei näy jotain osaa olennosta ollenkaan.

--myaar, vanha fanius yrittää kaivautua esiin.
