How on earth should I find a cathegory for painting miniatures? Is there any?

I'm not a big fan of sci fi, and even though I've been into painting Warhammer figures for years, of the fantasy side, this was my first peek into the 40,000 side of the series, with the sci fi theme.

Kroots were an easy landing. In the fantasy series, I love most the lizardmen and skaven (wood elves look good too, but they're bit too detailed for my painting style) so the kroot carnivores felt already somewhat familiar for me. And I must say I love these little cannibal beasties, their appearance and anatomy is well thought out. (Lil kroot feeties! 8D Fun to paint.)

This little one here was painted and assembled all by myself. Photos were taken by ~Mooncatgirl when she visited me some time ago. The fingers shown in few of the pics are my own, as I was holding it to show some kind of scale. These things aren't much taller than just one inch (never really measured, but they aren't big)

Kroot race and the miniature (unassembled) along with the whole Warhammer world is the work of Games Workshop.

Beautiful paint job! I play both versions of warhammer and have seen both ends of the painting spectrum.This is probably Golden Daemon quality for the Youngbloods catagory

Really good, i can't collect tau or any warhammer (too expansive) so i just got dawn of war and their expansions :3

Oh, thank yous! ^^ To be honest I have only played very little, few years ago, and only on the fantasy side of Warhammers (with reeeeally simplified rules). But my Brother has been collecting Space Marines for some time now, and he got me interested in the 40K-series. I must say that the Tau army might be my favourite on it, and I specially like the way the Kroots look like. ^^ (Tyranids look cool too, though) Mostly just painting, but maybe someday I could play again, once in a while.

ah. i started... last year methinks. heard about it originally with XPlay reviewing Dawn of War, but my sister's boyfriend got me into it. started a little tutorial match with Blood Angels, and my sister got me the Tau starter, and i'm pretty good with them. Won a couple of matches against his Blood Angels, and lost all but one match against his tyranids. ^-^''''''' that match was awesome tho, he had like four carnifexes on the table, and in the first turn, with a seeker missile, railgun shot, and ion cannon, i killed one! then i had two to three wounds on his other three.

had a draw tho, but i think i had it that match! XD
