Well, the title pretty much says it all. Sketches done for life drawing course's homework assignment.

I look real excited here, eh?

Face drawn from a photo of myself, hands were all done while staring at my left hand.

man i had to do the same thing for figure drawing but we were not allowed to use photos it is better to work when you have the subject in from of you and the hands were kind of a pain too but that was because eventually your hands move after a while and if you move it just throws everything off

I kind of cheated a bit with the photo. It was the day before the thing had to be turned in, I hadn't remembered it in time and was pretty much "oh crap, I'm alone, with no-one to draw and with no mirror. Panic!" and grabbed a camera.

The hands I'm just used to draw. I've been drawing them for years, so I have the basic structure already in my mind, son all I had to do was just modify that mental image with the pose I had on hand (excuse me for the pun). And I'm just fast sketcher when I have model to work from.

that sucks that you don't have a mirror :( and that happens a lot :nod: i think it would be kind of awkward staring at a person while drawing even thought i already past figure drawing it was weird just staring at the other person's eyes and lucky ;) i can't just draw a hand from memory i have to look at the subject and same goes with a person i have to look at the modle and can't create it from thin air :(

Never good at living creatures. I still have a bit of trouble with still life drawing. Of course, those were experiences from high school art, so I guess it was never anything too serious. Good job.

Wah, hands are gorgeous! I love how you have only one long nail, I myself have only three on both hands XP
