Lately my brain has been taken over by ideas of strange creatures (from my own interpretation of harpies from Greek mythology to some kind of cephalopod monkeys. Yes, my brain is weird, thank you.)
These particular creatures combine the appearance of wolves and owls with a bit of cat like behavior. The original concept was a wolf with head of an owl, but since wolves kill their prey with their jaws and owls by their talons, owl-headed wolf wasn't exactly working, thus the front claws were added. The big claws also make their front paws to appear soft and fluffy, since the claws are turned under the paws to prevent the loss of sharpness.

I named them orathrons after my own webname I used once (since "Orathron" sounded better than "WolfPearl", but no matter what I did, people never used it. I guess I'm stuck with WP for the rest of my life, but that's what people know me by, and that's the thing that matters.)
