Hee, I thought that could sound good. Ahem..

Tell me honestly, have you ever, Ever, seen an anthropomorphic mammoth before? At least I havent seen one before, they seem to be terribly rare.

Lately I've had this strange urge to draw something different of anthro genre, and for already some time I've wanted to do this. It began already weeks ago, I don't remember where exactly, but I remember that I got this sudden idea: "I want to draw an anthropomorphic mammoth!" And that idea didn't leave me alone. It became a sort of obsession for me, and after weeks of goooogleing and getting totally lost in library, this is what it came out to be. Drawn without reference, as I started it at my friends' place (Few apartments to left from my current location).

I must say that I began to like mammoths during the time I planned this. They're big and FLUFFY and I must say that I really like those huge tusks they have. I was supposed to draw this mammoth standing on a snowy rock cliff, but after sketching it I realised that there was no room for cliffs. The mammoth had became ... well, big like a mammoth.

Yup. I might draw more of yhem. And I also want to challenge YOU to draw anthro mammoths! I definetely want to see more of them around. I know they are difficult (I know exactly) but wouldn't you like to have a bit of challenge, neh?

Marvellous! I think this will be perfect for the rpg "Würm" , of Emmanuel Roudier.
I...I'll try to draw a mammoth, and I warn you when I post the disaster on my wall! ^^

I have seen anthromorphic mammoths around and I'm thinking of a specific artist in particular, but I can't seem to find their work around anywhere. Sigh.

I fell in love with the idea of mammoth anthromorphs, though, and was worried that I would feel like I was stealing the idea if I made one of my own... But between your challenge and a few ideas that have formed in my head, I believe you can consider your challenge accepted, good lady!

yea that's true i've never sen an anthropomorphic mammoth before . the only things that are common are big cats , dogs and birds , but never a mammoth . this picture just proves how creative and original you are . nice pic. by the way .

Consider your challenge accepted. This picture has just inspired me(of all things) to try and draw one. I just happen to have about one hour of "hmm, can't seem to find anything sensible to do...", and I think drawing anthro mammoths is sensible if anything.

When I first saw this picture I went all "Whoa. Did WP realy draw this? Awesome!"

Needless to say, I'm ever-so-slightly jealous. *grin*

Yes, more pachyderms! I LOVE elephants and mammoths, they are wonderful creatures. I adore the movement of this piece, and the way you play with lights and shadows on the figure. Well done! ^^

Tykkään tästä valtavasti, hieno idea tehdä tämmöinen anthromammutti! Itselläni on jo jonkun aikaa ollut aivoissa idea maalata mammuttiaiheinen kuva (tarkemmin sanottuna loppukesästä asti, kröh.) Anthroja en ole koskaan osannu piirtää. Mutta nämä sun työt ovat aivan uskomattomia. :3

Anatomiat sinulla näyttää olevan tosi hyvin hallussa, en näe tässä mitään vikaa. Hurjan suloinen on hän noitarumpunsa kanssa. 8)
