Two animals from Simon's little magical zoo. These are Teje and Hatshepsut (Hat for short), who represent an Egyptian species known as sha, a.k.a. Set animal or sometimes Typhonic beast.

They are mother and daughter, and although both represent the black color form of sha, Teje, being almost twenty years old, has somev gray around her eyes and snout.

Yeah.

Allow me a moment while I get my egyptophile geek out...

*SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*

I've been trying to draw sha / salawa properly for ages! Wonderful work here - exactly how I imagined them.

Aww, thanks! It's the best kind of compliment when it comes from someone who knows about what they are talking. ^^ Ancient Egypt was awesome.

You and your friends are incredibly creative. Out of curiosity, do ideas just come, some sort of inspiration, or a mix of the two?

Both, I guess? I have no idea where all my ideas come from, but I do get inspired practically by everything.

I see. Similar situation with me, but very few of those inspirations are 100% original, or even put on paper. Keep it up.
