A bit of a schedule slippage again. We have a pretty hard 3D graphics course at school that are taking up most of my time. It's one of the very rare possibilities for doing animation at this school, so I'm trying to do my best and push myself with it, and knowing how anal I can be with fine tuning animation, it's probably not going to loosen up much. So be prepared for me not catching up with my comic schedule. You never know, I might survive it, but at the moment (seeing how much rigging hates me) I wouldn't bet on it.

Oh, hey, mysterywolf has a face now! A whole face.

I love how usually, in dog-centered fiction, wolves are a huge deal, and here he's like 'meh' compared to the regular cast. :XD:

Oh, stranger, you are mucking with the wrong hound. Surama will eat you for breakfast.

How exactly do they tell the difference? I've met dogs, usually G. Sheps, that I /swore/ were wolves, and my family owned a husky mix who was the spitting image of a 'Buffalo Wolf' because of her coat.

So, is there a difference in scent, in the way they move..?

There IS difference in how wolves look compared to dogs. I have seen lots of dogs that look kinda like wolves in summer coat, but I've never seen a dog who'd look exactly like a wolf. There is difference in size for starts, also facial features are different (German shepherds have different shaped muzzle with droopier lips than wolves, for example), different size and shape ears, in the angle between muzzle and forehead (dogs generally have it a lot steeper, unless they're like bull terriers or borzois) and the general frame of the animal. German shepherds have sloping back where as wolves have it more angular.

The differences might be hard to see for people who aren't used to see them, but they are there. Also in Wurr, there's cultural differences that are really hard to ignore. There's a lot of difference in behavior and attitude in real life too, wolves are more independent and unpredictable where as dogs have evolved to live with humans and act accordingly.

Wow, that's the logest reply I've ever gotten. Thank you!

Guess I'll ask this too: Is being a wolf considered a bad thing? I ask because of that one dog who keeps getting upset about "Are you part wolf?" questions.

I'm liking this creepy fellow already (though I'd trust him about as far as I could throw him).

And, whoo-boy, Surama looks intimidated!
